Commercial Conveyancer

We are currently seeking a full-time Commercial Real Estate Conveyancer with 4-10+ years of experience to join our firm.

 

About the role:

  • Preparing transaction documents common to complex commercial real estate transactions, including but not limited to Form A Transfers, Statements of Adjustments, Property Transfer Tax Returns, Land Owner Transparency Declarations and Reports
  • Performing due diligence searches, including BC Online, Personal Property Registry, LTSA and ancillary searches relating to commercial real estate transactions
  • Preparing and filing Land Title EFS discharges and PPSA discharges
  • Managing intake of documents and file related materials
  • Assisting with drafting, issuing, and following up on invoices
  • Schedule management, including coordination of appointments and booking boardrooms
  • Document preparation and management, and logistical support for real estate and corporate commercial transactions
  • Preparing title binders, closing books, trust reconciliations, reporting letters and bills
  • Other ad hoc duties depending on the volume

 

About you:

  • A Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate or Paralegal diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • 4-10+ years of working experience as an LAA or Paralegal
  • Have previous experience performing each of the above noted duties
  • Proficient with MS Work and Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
