Associate

Tanya Motani

Tanya Motani is an Associate in our Dispute Resolution and Litigation practice group. She is developing her practice to focus on a broad range of commercial litigation and civil dispute matters.

Tanya joined McQuarrie as a 2L Summer Student in April 2024 and returned to the firm to complete her articles before joining the firm as an Associate.

Tanya earned her Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University. Prior to attending law school, she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English Literature at the University of British Columbia.

During law school, Tanya served as a Research Coordinator for Pro Bono Students Canada and wrote several articles for the Human Rights Law Club. She developed a strong interest in advocacy, legal research, and dispute resolution, and is committed to providing practical and strategic advice to clients navigating complex legal disputes.

Outside of work, Tanya enjoys being outdoors with her dog, paddle boarding, and spending time with friends and family.
