Associate

Jay Kim

Jay is an Associate in McQuarrie’s Land Development and Real Estate practice groups.

Jay joined McQuarrie in 2023 as a 2L summer student and returned as a full articled student after completing his Juris Doctor at the Peter A. Allard School of Law in 2024. Upon being called to the bar in 2025, Jay transitioned to his current role as an associate.

Prior to his legal career, Jay graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and thereafter, worked in diverse fields, such as immigration and pharmacy. As a first-generation immigrant, Jay is fluent in Korean and passionate about serving his community.

Outside of work, Jay spends his spare time playing softball, walking his dog, and being tormented by the Vancouver Canucks.
