After articling with McQuarrie Hunter LLP, Gareth joined the firm as an associate in 2014. Gareth maintains a varied civil litigation practice focusing on Corporate, Partnership, Contract and Real Estate disputes. Gareth also has experience in Employment, Construction and Collections matters.
Gareth comes to the practice of law from a strong academic background that includes a J.D. from the University of Alberta, a B.A. with Distinction in Philosophy from the University of Victoria, and an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Toronto. After receiving his J.D., Gareth clerked for the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench in Edmonton performing legal research and drafting for the Justices of that court.
In his free time Gareth enjoys exploring the North Shore mountains with his wife, cycling, travelling and reading both fiction and philosophy.
Gareth has successfully represented clients at all levels of court in British Columbia, including chambers, trial and appeals. He focuses on dispute resolution through strong, effective advocacy and a practical, strategic approach to seeking solutions. Mr. Reeves’ practical and client focused approach allows him to keep his clients goals in mind and develop strategies that will achieve those goals.
