Ashley first joined McQuarrie as a student in 2018. In her current role as an associate in the Dispute Resolution and Litigation department, Ashley works with clients involved in a wide range of commercial matters, including property disputes, collapsed real estate transactions, contractual disputes, civil fraud, as well as partnership and shareholder disputes, in order to achieve pragmatic solutions to their legal issues.
Ashley was born and raised in the Lower Mainland and pursued her post-secondary education locally, obtaining a J.D. from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC and a B.A. from Simon Fraser University. While pursuing her law degree, Ashley took advantage of the experiential learning opportunities that UBC has to offer by participating in the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and spending a full term at the Rise Women’s Legal Centre as a student clinician where she provided free and low-cost legal services to low-income clients. Both of these experiences allowed her to gain valuable practical experience, while also giving back to the community and increasing access to justice.
