Ashley graduated from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC with a J.D. in 2019. Prior to law school, she attended Simon Fraser University, where she received a B.A. with distinction in 2016. Ashley first joined McQuarrie as a summer student in 2018 and is currently completing her articles with the firm.
While pursuing her law degree, Ashley took advantage of the experiential learning opportunities that UBC has to offer by participating in the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program and spending a full term at the Rise Women’s Legal Centre as a student clinician. At Rise, Ashley provided free and low-cost legal services to low-income clients, many of whom were survivors of family violence. Both of these experiences allowed her to gain valuable practical experience, while also giving back to the community and increasing access to justice.
Upon completion of her articling term, Ashley is interested in pursuing a litigation-focused practice which will allow her to serve as a vehement advocate for her clients.
