Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant
We are currently seeking a full-time Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our firm.
About the role:
Duties include
- Opening, organizing, and closing files
- Drafting and sending correspondence to clients, solicitors, and other companies and organizations
- Filing and updating file binders
- Managing intake of documents and file related materials and updating binders
- Maintaining electronic calendars and scheduling client meetings, Examinations for Discovery, Trials, and other Chambers Hearings
- Maintaining a BF and limitation system
- Frequent communication with clients and solicitors
- Other administrative tasks as needed
About you:
- A Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution
- Minimum of 1 year of working experience as a litigation LAA
- Working knowledge of BC Online and myLTSA
- Proficient with MS Word and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise good judgement, professionalism, and to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
