Residential Conveyancer

We are currently seeking a full-time Residential Conveyancer with a minimum of 3 years of ex

About the role:

Duties include

  • Preparation of documents in relation to residential transactions
  • Commercial transaction experience is an asset
  • Managing closings of purchase and sale transactions
  • Conducting Land Title and BC Online searches (title searches, BC assessments, company searches, etc.) and due diligence
  • Administering clients’ files including file opening (conflict searches, client identifications and other tasks), and file closing
  • Communicating with vendors, purchasers, financial institutions, clients, lawyers, brokers, and others as required in a timely fashion
  • Liaising with legal assistants, paralegals, and lawyers on file progress
  • Scanning documents, filing, and billing
  • Filing documents in Land Title Office
  • Completing payouts and preparing internal documents relating to trust transactions/trust account documentation
  • Preparing reporting letters and ensuring key closing dates and tasks are diarized
  • Completing any other administrative duties as requested/required

About you:

  • A Legal Administrative certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • A minimum of 3 years of working experience in a similar role with comparable responsibilities in real estate with exposure to both residential and commercial transactions
  • Extensive experience with transactional work
  • Proficient with MS Word and Outlook
  • Strong understanding of Land Title and BC Land Title Office registration requirements with survey authority
  • Experience with Land Title Survey Authority web filing
  • Experience with E Conveyance is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, discretion, and confidentiality, and to adapt to changing demands
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
