David L. Worthington

David L. Worthington is a partner in our Surrey office on 144^th Street. His preferred areas of practice are:

• Real estate development.

• General corporate and commercial law.

• Real estate conveyancing.

• Mortgages.

David has lectured for the Continuing Legal Education Society on real estate disclosure statements and strata property law. He is a director of the Greater Vancouver Home Builders' Association and a director of the Massey Theatre Society.

David practiced in Vancouver until 1975 when he set up his own firm in Surrey to practice as both a barrister and solicitor. In his career as a barrister, he appeared in all levels of Court in British Columbia. Since 1988, however, he has practiced exclusively as a solicitor. His firm, Worthington, David & Company, merged with McQuarrie Hunter LLP in 2003.

David studied at the University of British Columbia where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1965 and a Bachelor of Laws in 1971. He was called to the B.C. Bar in 1972.

David enjoys hockey, hiking, boating, gardening and skiing.
