Tako van Popta

Tako van Popta is a partner in our Surrey office on 144^th Street and is our managing partner. His preferred areas of practice are:

• Corporate and commercial law.

• Intellectual property and technology licensing.

• Advising employers with respect to employee share ownership plans.

• Real estate development.

Tako is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Employee Share Ownership and Investment Association and the Christian Legal Fellowship. He volunteers with various non-profit community organizations and is a past chairman of both the Langley Memorial Hospital Society and the Economic Development Commission for Langley.

Tako received a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity Western University in Langley and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia in 1989. He was called to the B.C. Bar in 1990.

In his free time, Tako enjoys long distance cycling.
