Karl A. Maier

Karl A. Maier is a partner in our Surrey office on 104^th Avenue. His preferred practice areas are:

• Estate administration and probate.

• Trust administration.

• Incapacity, trust and estate planning.

• Adult guardianship and committees.

Karl is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the New Westminster Bar Association. He is the Past President of the Fraser Valley Estate Planning Council and a past chair of the Business Law section of the Canadian Bar Association. He also served as President and Past President of the Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention Centre of B.C.

Karl received an International Baccalaureate Diploma at the United World College of South East Asia in Singapore, a Bachelor of Arts in history and economics at McGill University and a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Victoria. He was called to the B.C. Bar in 1998, and joined McQuarrie Hunter LLP in 2000.

Karl's other pursuits include cycling, outdoor activities, and reading, which he enjoys with his wife and two boys.
