Lawyer Profile Colin J. Huggett
Colin J. Huggett is a partner in our Surrey office on 144th Street. His preferred areas of practice are:
Colin is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, with interests in the municipal, business, real estate, maritime, construction and aboriginal law sections. He is a past president of the Fraser Valley Executive Association, as well as a former director of the Surrey Chamber of Commerce, the Fraser Valley University Society, the Whalley Business Improvement Association and the International Rotary Club of Surrey. He is also a member of the Surrey Sailing Club, the Royal Victoria Yacht Club and the Royal Canadian Legion. He has taught a Continuing Legal Education course on municipal law and lectured at the People's Law School on how to start a business and other topics.
Colin studied at the University of British Columbia where he completed undergraduate studies in commerce and business administration before studying law. He received a Bachelor of Laws in 1978 and was called to the B.C. Bar in 1979.
In his spare time, Colin is an avid outdoor enthusiast: he enjoys sailing, downhill skiing and any other extreme outdoor activities he can find.
