Lawyer Profile Colin J. Huggett
Colin J. Huggett is a partner in our Surrey office on 144th Street. His preferred areas of practice are:
Colin is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, with interests in the real estate, employment, maritime, business and construction law sections. He has presented papers to his peers at a number of Continuing Legal Education courses, including municipal law and business law topics, as well as at numerous community events. He is chair of the firm's Corporate and Commercial Practice Group and a member of the Employment Law Group. He is a member and past treasurer of the Surrey Bar Association, past president of the Fraser Valley Executives Association, and a former director of the Surrey Chamber of Commerce, the Fraser Valley University Society, the Whalley Business Improvement Association and the International Rotary Club of Surrey. He is also past commodore of the Surrey Sailing Club, and a member of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club and the Royal Canadian Legion. His interests include boating, fishing, skiing and cycling.
Colin studied at the University of British Columbia where he completed undergraduate studies in commerce and business administration before studying law. He received a Bachelor of Laws in 1978 and was called to the B.C. Bar in 1979.
In his spare time, Colin is an avid outdoor enthusiast: he enjoys sailing, downhill skiing and any other extreme outdoor activities he can find.
