Professional development, along with self-development, are encouraged at McQuarrie Hunter LLP. External programs such as night school classes and Continuing Legal Education seminars are paid for on an on-going basis. We hold regular staff meetings and in-house workshops to discuss new methods and review old. Our staff development program encourages self-development and provides assistance with videos, books and speakers. In the recent past, we have offered speakers on financial planning, emergency preparedness, nutrition and conflict resolution. We also provide first-aid courses and free flu shots. Our monthly newsletter contains regular tips on Word, Outlook, e-mail and business development.
McQuarrie Hunter LLP offers social and recreational events throughout the year for staff enjoyment. Our inter-office baseball game and barbecue has become a tradition for families. Firm luncheons are arranged for Staff Appreciation Day and Christmas. Pot-luck luncheons, Halloween costumes and Company Night at Nat Bailey Stadium are just a few of the events planned by our Firm Social Committee. Our boardrooms have been used by staff for wedding and baby showers, with pictures posted in our electronic Photo Gallery.
